Things You Never Thought You'd Do ...
I am sitting in my living room, surfing the net, watching Starship Troopers on a monstrously large television ... wearing a leopard print Snuggy.
It is actually comfortably warm, and easy to move around in. And no, I didn't buy it. It was part of the crazynurse bequest.

"...do not name the well you won't drink from..."
I like this actually. So, for the moment, my answer to your thread title is: I never thought I'd be retired at my age.

I never thought I'd be able to clean up behinds besmirched with faeces (trying to make it SFW even if it isn't pleasant)
I managed it for Grandad and the other week I managed it for a pupil too. Although that one did make me gag. Years back, believing Mum's commentary, I never thought I would work with children, let alone work with patience and gain pleasure from working with young children. I think she was making assumptions based on how I reacted to my brother when he was five. Missing the point that I was nine at the time. I am considered easygoing, patient and laidback at school. Words you would never have heard from my office colleages. Sorry, I just felt the need to post this as typed. One typo, the rest thanks to the keyboard. I have to consider every keystroke and edit like crazy now. Quote:

There are too many to count; starting, naturally, with this one time at Band Camp...

Me neither. But then I had the benefit of seeing JB in panto previously, so I knew it would be good regardless. My excitement is ramping up with every hour now. SO many things to look forward to. Coach, meeting up, B&B, Glasgow in all its Christmas finery, dinner, JB!, Arran etc etc etc. Sorry. As you were.
