I Am Sober...
... and I see nothing wrong with dressing up as a personage from the Nativity at Christmas. Even as an atheist. I don't have a beard yet, but give me a few years...
Hey, I dressed up as a witch for Halloween when I was a Catholic. I accept people's opinion may vary. I may just wear a nice dress. |

The one and only time I dressed up for halloween, I went as a gypsy. It was fun. Mav was a ghost and Aden was a pirate.
It was many years ago.

But would you want your mother in law and her coven of witches to see you in your Nativity attire? How about the people you work with.....?

While I shouldn't be, I am confused. What does Sundae's sobriety have to do with dressing up as a Nativity character, even as an atheist? And why does Lj have a coven-in-law? Who's the kid with the eyeliner?

It's a very confusing thread I think. My reading was different to Jimbo's.
I guess we'll have to wait till SG gets drunk for some clarity.

If you'd gotten here, on time, at the beginning of the movie like the rest of us, you'd know what was going on. Now shush and try to follow along.

I don't have a MIL or a coven or a job.
Your point is taken, Sir. Don't worry if you don't understand, the spirit of Christmas moves people in different ways. I just feel that if you can't dress as a virgin during Advent, it's a bit of a rum do. |
