neeps? To what family of food do they belong? Look like taters. I thought tatties meant potatoes.
No, I can never try haggis. I just can't.

neeps is parsnips. My friend is hosting a Robbie Burns night on Saturday. She really thought I was joking when I said no way in hell would I eat haggis. But now she's making shepherds' pie for culinary wusses. She also thought no way in hell would it really have offal in it. I'm wondering if her Japanese-American husband will be wearing a kilt and attempting the bagpipes. They never do anything by half. This will be after an orchestra thing and swim meet for Hebe, hockey games for both boys and a soccer game for one of them. We'll sleep well, I've no doubt.
