If the island provides food and water, then I still need shelter and clothing before anything else. And then toiletries/1st aid kit.
I wouldn't have a tent or tarp or sleeping bag or anything like that with me on a cruise, so this wouldn't be easy.
I'd take linens from the bed in the room to use as tarps and blankets, and maybe two changes of clothes and any outer wear I have with me. I'd wear most of that and not try to fit in the backpack unless I couldn't wear it.
I'd look around the room for anything I could use as cord. Maybe take a sheet to tear into strips to make some crude rope to hang the tarp. I'd be wearing sneakers, and I'd stuff a pair of flip flops into the bag. Then all the toiletries I could manage, starting with first aid stuff, glasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, and then stuff like cleansers, contact lenses, tooth brush, etc. only if they fit. If I could get them all to fit, then I'd do a couple books next. I have a tiny keychain leatherman that would be in my pocket, but I wouldn't have any other tools with me on a cruise, which sucks. I'd want tools on the island. Oh well.
And then I'd stick the waterproof satellite phone in my pocket.
