They are too flimsy to do any actual work, so I think they are a measuring or layout device of some sort. I'm thinking something to do with sewing. All the sewing gauges I can find have sharp corners. they don't come to a little curved point. they look more like this:
But yours is old and looks handmade, so I guess it could have been made special. I can see them being used to locate a point, like where to sew a button on. |
