Ed King, guitarist with Lynyrd Skynyrd died yesterday at his home in Nashville, at 68.
It's King's voice ya hear counting "1, 2, 3..." before he starts that famous riff, at the beginning of Sweet Home Alabama, which he co-wrote, along with many of Skynyrd's more well known songs. He also played with Strawberry Alarm Clock, and co-wrote and played on Incense and Peppermints.
