The Kurds felt the same way when Obama pulled us out of Iraq. They're used to it and have contingency plans for when the US picks-up and leaves.

"the Kurds really were not allies"

They weren't allies: they were dependents. We were babysittin' 'em (as we probably will again).

Really, how long have we been trainin' 'em? And what were we trainin' 'em for (if not to stand on their own)?

What's irksome: if President [insert tw's favorite] had withdrawn in exactly the same way, tw would have nuthin' but praise to offer.

Hypocrite.

Well that answer says nothing. And completely ignores relevant and different details in each case.

We know the Kurds were a strong American ally. Nobody - except Donald Trump brainwashed disciples - denies that. The American / Kurd alliance remained one of the strongest and most effective against Daesh.

Even Turkey provided tactical support and freedoms to Isis. That was restricted when Americans got involved using NATO alliance principles that also kept Turkey from attacking the Kurds.

But again, we have a perfect example of who is a wacko Trump supporting extremist. The scumbag Don yesterday even tweeted Kurds as never safer. Another example of why soundbytes and 140 character declarations are akin to a lie. We will see extremist here, while posting more insults, agree with that tweeted lie. After all, it must be true because he - like the scumbag president - uses insults to prove it as true.

"We know the Kurds were a strong American ally."

If they're so strong: what did they/do they bring to the table (aside from warm bodies)?

We train them (forever), arm them, direct them, take care of them.

Again: they were our charges (and, no doubt, they will be again).
