I'm 5'8 about 150... floating between 150 and 155 which is fine. A while back it was floating between 155 and 160 and moving up and I was getting to need new pants... so I had to put a stop to that, because I thought it was too much, and because I'm too damn cheap to buy all new clothes.
But the thing is I was about 125 up until 1998--the original pencil-necked geek!--and then by 2000 I was pushing 160. It's probably a natural age-related progression and I was so skinny to start that even at 160 I can't possibly be considered pudgy--but it was still scary to put on that much that quickly. |

a little late to get in on the conversation, but I was on vacation for a couple weeks...
Pre-baby = 5'2" ~130lbs, comfortable in a size 6 jean. I was doinglots of running (4-5mi 4-5 days a week) and some swimming & biking, even completed a sprint triathlon. 20 months post baby = 5'2'' ~132lbs, comfortable in a size 10 jean ![]() Anyone else care to share how procreating has changed their bodies? Please? I'd feel a whole lot better... And does #2 (or more)do even more damage??? ![]()

Dearest LAbRat--
Girl, I hate to be the one to tell ya, but yes. It does seem to take a greater toll after you have #2. I've had two kids--I came back after the first one OK (don't get me wrong--I went to a DietWorkshop to shed the last 20) but after #2---all SORTS of things happened...it's too ugly for general viewing. I'll PM you as to not gross anyone out. You have my sympathy (BUT! The good news is that those little babies are WORTH it! ![]() |

Each of my little "blessings" has added an intractable 7 lbs. to my pre-baby weight. Good thing we stopped at 3 kids, or I'd be big as a barn! Whenever my kids refer to my derriere or thighs in less than flattering terms, I remind them of the root cause.

Hmm. Well, 6'4" and 350 lbs. I've changed my diet due to type 2 diabetes and just need to get motivated to excercise. I've been losing weight due to the diet change, no carbs except for oatmeal in the morning, but it's not enough. I look like a mexican wrestler at this point.
Y tu perro pequeno tambien!!! Grrr!!!

Male, 5'-10" and 155lbs. I actually used to weigh less before I started working out, which I do around 4 times a week now. Sparring helps, it's the hardest workout I've ever had and I've done endurance running before.

female, 5'8", 104 lbs---I have little bones, ok?
And let's see...I can hold a two-and-a-half year old in one arm, her portable bag of toys, my purse, a couple of bags of groceries, and my keys on the other...I believe the technical term for that is "mommy bench press." Sidhe

![]() I'd need to see a photo to believe it. 5'8" and 104 sounds inconsistent with life, let alone childbirth.

Healthy 12 and 13 year-old, pre-pubescent girls 4' 10" - 5' 2" generally weigh between 95 and 110 lbs. Before hormones. Did you and Lady Sidhe adopt?
