I might even talk to Laurie Cabot (if that is her real name!
My wife has this enormous, gaudy pentacle with red 'stones' at the five points and zodiacal symbols inscribed on the rim. If Mercedes was a Pagan vehicle, this would be the hood ornament. It was given to her as a gag gift.

Anyway, the party we went to Friday night was a superhero-themed Pagan Samhain party, so she decided that the 'pent would be the "pentacle of power", and she, therefore, would go as "Superwitch". (she chose this title because the local alternative rag, The Pitch, blurbed her last Wicca 101 Communiversity class and described her as "High Priestess of the Luna Lushede Coven [read - Superwitch]").

Anyway, we dressed her up as nearly the spitting image of Laurie Cabot. It was pretty great. Silly people are fun to emulate at Halloween.

Laurie is embarrassing.

"No, I'm not a witch like Laurie Cabot. No. Not at all. She's a wacko."

I think the facial tattoo sealed that particular deal.

I know Laurie is a whack-job. Suddenly, I feel like being a whack-job, too. In the mood, y'know?
