Does anybody own a ROOMBA? Do they really do any good?

No, I don't own one. My impression is that they do clean up crumbs and hair and dust on a hardwood floor, but won't replace actually cleaning your floors for real every once in a while. If you really have you heart set on getting one, but it isn't urgent, join woot.com. They seem to be sold about once every month or so for a pretty good price (relatively speaking.) There's alos lots of discussion at woot about their worth. Most seem to view them as a fun gadget.

If you are interested in getting a Roomba, they are being sold today at Woot.com for less than you will find them anywhere else.
