i don't believe it. sheepshit, i say.

how does an animal asphyxiate under an open sky? much less a hundred or so. you might as well say that they were smote by an angry god.

They climbed up on top of each other, possibly several layers deep. The ones at the bottom couldn't breathe because of the weight of the others on top crushing down on them.
