Ooooh. Adam Ant?! I used to lurve the Ants. In fact, the first album I ever bought was the Prince Charming album. *grins* I used to pinch my mum's nivea and paint a white stripe across my nose with it and dance to the Dandy Highwayman. Oh I knew allll the dances off by heart. I bet I could still do 'em:P
Sheldon. Erasure were a really brilliant brit band in the eighties. Unashamedly gay at a time when our government were bringing in the infamous Clause 28 (which prohibited any local authority from 'actively promoting homosexuality'...e.g teachers advising kids who were becoming aware of their gay sexuality, any books or other materials which presented homosexuality as a valid and equally acceptable path etc). The lead singer had an amazing voice and the music was great. Ship of Fools was a brilliant song. |

I'm back!!!
Shattered and hung over....but had a ball. Har Mar Superstar were the support act....OMG...fucken funniest thing ever. He got down to his jox as per normal. Sean had all the girls squealing and the boys boooing their heads off. RHCP were great, I did expect a little more, but I loved it. The instrumentals made my chest rattle (great feeling) but did go for a LONG time. High energy, but I must comment on the fact that I didnt feel they engaged the audience...but I have been spoiled by the likes of Robbie Williams ![]() |

I'm seeing TV on the Radio and the Noisettes pretty soon. I've seen TVotR before and they were really good, and I'm looking forward to the Noisettes.
The last show I went to was a huge St. Patrick's Day festival with Flogging Molly headlining. |

I've only seen Several Species (a (really good!) floyd cover band), Tally Hall (in delaware, and an acoustic set in my basement!), and Yngwie Malmsteen.
BUT Dragonforce. Taipei. May 22. I WILL be there.

I've been saving these notes to write a review of the Zappa Plays Zappa show, but since I haven't done it yet, here they are:
Bozzio lyrics I'm So Cute and Tryin' To Grow a Chin from Sheik Yerbouti drumming sounds "like a parody of a speed metal band" the homo-erotic saga of Punky's Whips Black Page drum solo (as a duet) followed by the Black Page from Live in New York with melodic accompaniment from Steve Vai Napoleon Murphy Brock hilarious antics on Montana and Cheepnis: "I ate a hot dog It tasted real good Then I watched a movie From hollywood" instrumental masterpiece Peaches En Regalia bizarre arrangement of Trouble Every Day keyboard solo guitar duels Bozzio solo material from Drawing The Circle technical difficulties Bozzio references Family Guy "Trisha Takanawa"

Prior to a year ago, the last concert I went to was Yes, at the Spectrum. My wife and I skipped the last childbirth class for our first kid to go to the concert. The kid is now almost 16. In the last year I've seen Blow Up Hollywood, Eric Clapton, and Joseph Arthur (3 times). Last night we saw Joseph Arthur at the TLA, Stars of Track and Field opened for him.
