i think they should leave the van there and put up a plaque on a little podium with some trite bit of wisdom like.....measure twice, cut once....or something.

I like that idea; and to add to it, you know how dudes get buried in the cornerstone of a building?
They should do that with the drivers of that van, and then the message would be, like "OR ELSE" ...
