There were a bunch of them at a picnic area in Great Falls MD a few weeks ago, and people at the other end of the picnic area were feeding them. The damn things were so brazen, I had to walk around with my arms outstretched, to chase them away from our table. Flying rats.
Apparently there are different populations of them, and they are still protected because some of the populations are in decline. Around here, there's no shortage of them. |
