Here's a list of pay rates for various computer industry certifications. Feel free to compare these against jobs for people without certifications or against those who only have a college degree without certs.

The numbers vary by geography but... there is no gain in me cert'ing in my area of expertise.

Do you learn more by getting certified and can apply that to getting better jobs later? I sure as hell did by getting EXCEL certified and it made a difference at my job.

I have a handful. None have gotten me more money or a job.

I feel that most are fluff and taint the few "real" ones that deserve recognition.
