Nothing is like Tim Tams!
Tim Tam is Australia’s favourite chocolate biscuit. Around 35 million packs are sold each year - that's nearly 400 million biscuits. There are 8 delicious varieties of Tim Tam biscuits:
Tim Tam Original, Tim Tam Chewy Caramel, Tim Tam Double Coat, Tim Tam Dark, Tim Tam Love Potions Double Chocolate and Raspberry, Tim Tam Love Potions Chocolate Mud, Tim Tam Love Potions Sticky Vanilla Toffee, Tim Tam Latte. And of course, Tim Tam Balls, which were launched in September 2005! Tim Tam biscuits first hit supermarket shelves in 1964. They were named after a horse that won the Kentucky Derby in 1958. A member of the Arnott family, Ross Arnott, attended the race day and decided ‘Tim Tam’ was the perfect name for his new biscuit. The chocolate used to make Tim Tam biscuits has been specially developed by Arnott’s to give a slightly caramel taste. The cream flavour is a delicate mixture of vanilla, butter and chocolate that complements the biscuit base and the chocolate. It’s this unique cream which sets Tim Tam apart from any other chocolate biscuit. |

I like doing a tim tam slam with icy cold milk. That way all the chocolate goes hard but the biscuit is soft and gooey.
There's nothing better when you really want a binge.

In addition to my usual breakfast of milk and carbs (this morning, 2 slices of toast with Trader Joes Blueberry preserves), I had a large piece of the yellow cake with milk chocolate frosting I made last night.

I can't believe I ate more than half of two horrible meals today--for lunch, a "chicken caesar wrap" with way too much dressing and old, wilted lettuce; and for dinner, a supposedly grilled chicken sandwich that looked pretty enough, but amazingly had no flavor whatsoever. I usually make it a rule that if it doesn't taste good after the first bite or two, I put it down and back away...but I was having a long day stuck at work, and I needed "fuel."

ok, I went and bought a packet of tim tams after this thread today, and I can't believe, I just ate the whole lot. Didn't give the kids any!
Now I don't feel like eating dinner...and I feel sick. ![]()

I devoured a whole plateful of Beef Stroganoff. Ya know what? In this dish you absolutely need the piquant weight of sour cream for the proper effect: nonfat yoghurt is mere ersatz.
[edit] Come to think of it, sour cream on top of sauerbraten....

I can't believe i just ate a whole dinner on top of my packet of tim tams...with a bloody mary (sans worscestershire sauce because I discovered there was none in the pantry).
I'm all vitamin C'd up. C1 which would be from the tomato juice, and C2 which would be from the chocolate.

Bought 2 jars of cheap Bolognese Sauce the other week. Well, a jar will do 3 meals and I can't make a sauce as cheaply (27p - about 50c a jar!)
Had the first tonight - with red onion, red pepper, red lentils, mung beans (green, for variety) and sweetcorn. Now, as I poured the jar in, my usually accurate nose caught a whiff of something unpleasant but all too familiar. Aniseed? Fennel?! No, since when is fennel a standard addition to bolognese, especially the cut price version? So I checked, and there, the second to last ingredient, hiding in with the rest of the herbs (I don't always check that far down the list - just the main ingredients) was fennel. So I added extra garlic and some Tabasco to make it into a spicy pasta sauce instead. FENNEL?! I ask you! Anyway, just had a bowl and I think it was diluted enough by my additions not to matter too much. I now have to go back and check the similar jars of Chilli and Sweet & Sour I bought.

Fennel is an abomination, I won't eat it even in sausage.
