October 23, 2007: Bizarre looking sweet potatoes
![]() xoB sends this along, knowing IotDs predilection for weird food. This is either one sweet potato, or a set of them, but in either case it's on a farm in Xian, China. Yeah, I wouldn't eat em either. |

Those sweet potatoes might have been left in the ground too long.
My dad left some beetroot in the ground for too long and they were weird shapes too. I should have taken pics but didn't think of it at the time. I grated one of them and made beetroot risotto (think I've mentioned this already somewhere on here)

now there's an iotd i wouldn't eat. goodness knows how much goddamn lead there is in them. i live in china and the quality of things here is just shit. that's why you get so many weird things coming out of china. sometime ago, i was walking along the road and came upon a river, running green with fungus and pollutants. the smell got so bad i couldn't continue walking and turned back. but next to the river were cows eating the grass and cabbages in ther fields. but tic, as we expats say here: this is china. wanna see more weird stuff (good and bad) about china: check out my website www.anthology.page.tl
