They look old and tired. No wonder they died earlier. I want more local production for my community from adults that only work 8 hours a day for 5 days a week, max. I feel for adults too. They are abused and kicked around too. I do not support the chinese business model influencing america. I do like the Japanese International Standards because it's useful. But adults are dying over production. I think I know why there are so many heart attacks.

My husband worked long hours from childhood on the farm. Probably not to the extent that these kids did, though. He was driving a pickup at age 7ish(?) to help with the irrigating. His parents needed the help. It was about survival for them, I suppose. Now, he has an amazing work ethic. I don't know how he does it. I, on the other hand am a lazy louse. :P

Our kids have it really pretty good. We pay them to do extra "jobs" around the house, but they have a choice about it. They do chores, but those are required. Still, most of the time they are playing or doing something fun. It's interesting how the lifestyles of children have changed along side of those of adults.
