Ok, you lured me in with talk of concerts.I love live music. I am a child of the 70s as evidenced by:
1972- Chicago- it begins at the Hershey Park Arena Blue Oyster Cult- dont fear the reaper America- sound with no name. Bob Seger- ugh, was I nuts? England Dan and John Ford Colley- extra credit! Beach Boys Billy Joel- canceled due to Three Mile Island Devo The Cars- hee hee Crosby Stills Nash- but no Young The Clash- a high point in my young life Stray Cats and later a solo Setzer Los Lobos (3x) Leo Kottke Mighty Mighty bosstones Bobby McFerrin Liza Minnelli- (sp?)wow almost forgot that Husker du Replacements Prince at first ave Paladins Butthole Surfers-terribly fun Soul Asylum, and earlier, they were Hard Fast Rules Greg Brown Trip Shakespeare Rolling Stones Bonnie Raitt Jayhawks Chick Corea Dwight Yokum Buckwheat Zydeco Gatemouth Brown Funky Meters Tish Hinojosa Buddy Guy Luther Allison Sunnyland Slim Pat Metheny- YUCK, Sucked! ptew! worst in my life BB King kd Lang and the reclines- amazing in a small room Fuel Jr. Brown- (?x!) a favorite Nancy Wilson Kenny Burrell - the best. Diana Krall Kenny Barron Dr.John Hot Club of Cow Town- best recent fun time and lots of bands under $3! Music is good. |

My concert list
Alright, you ready for this?
You sure? Okay... NOTHING. I have been to no concerts, ever. I was all set to go to see RATM/Beastie Boys (which would have been the end-all, be-all for me), but bloody Mike D. had to wreck that bloody Schwinn and his bloody ankle and cancel the bloody tour...bastard. And then RATM broke up. So now I hate him even more. MCA and Adrock are the better of the two anyway. I blame Mike D. for bringing religion into the group and mellowing them all out. I don't care if one of the others says to my face that it was them, I blame D. Lousy D... ~Mike (T, not D)

I've seen RATM twice, and I must say, it's a pretty incredible show. Seeing it from 10 feet at HFStival and Woostock == two really really really energetic shows... very cool. |

I saw RATM back in the olden days (Lollapalooza '93). They were the opening act, and there weren't many people there while they were playing. But they WERE good.

I haven't been to a show in a couple of years now (marriage will do that to you!), but here's what I've seen:
PJ Harvey Morrissey The Wedding Present REM (3x) Blur Public Enemy (3x) Yatsura Indigo Girls (2x) Lots more smaller stuff I can't remember....

I've only gone to a few concerts. They would be:
Jimmy Buffet (Twice) Allman Brothers Phish Trey Anastasio Spin Doctors POD I would've gone to alot more but I live in Southampton, NY, which happens to be kind of secluded away from all concerts. ![]() |
