Ducks, you never look peaceful. I think that's why you give me such a boner.
Oh...wait...that was rude. Too bad. The truth...hurts. Well, if it is erect...

Pooka, you're cute as a button. And your kids are darling. Flint, well...
Just kidding. I picture you two laughing with and adoring your kids. It's a nice thing!

Okay.
It needs product. And I guess I'll need to wear make-up. But hey - it's not purple - which was my fear while I was doing it. |

go romantic goth ( or punk) SG!
It's not bad color. The color dosn't clash with your skin tone. You could do romantic goth/punk easy smeasy. I've always wanted to be brave enough to do goth but ,,,,,I'll just stick with my vanilla type appearance. [edit] AmyLee doing romantic goth. [edit] Last edited by skysidhe; 07-12-2008 at 05:51 PM. |

Under the light it's actually blue/black.
Only realised that when I looked in the bathroom! I'm quite chuffed with it now. Just needs a bit of height and a bit of drama to go with it. Thanks for not hating it anyway |

Nope. In daylight it is purple after all.
A very rich, dark, indigo kinda purple... but not really what I wanted. Hmmmmm. I'm going to have to get used to it. Last edited by Sundae; 07-13-2008 at 07:16 AM. |

In the right sunlight I think even naturally black hair has that same hue, Sundae. Almost all hair is reflective to a certain degree... Anyway, I like it. Probably could use a brush, though.

In this picture its really very pretty. And different - Ive never been a fan of far-out hair colors...like bright pink, or even jet black, but this color is very intriguing. It looks like it has a lot of depth to it.
I dont know, Sundae Girl, I think you may end up liking it. But if you dont, its only another dye job away to fix it. |

I think it looks good too, Sundae. Different from the look I've grown used to, but good.
This is me RF yesterday. It's how long it takes me to get pictures off my camera. Closest to RFN I can usually get. My daughter took it. The two of us went for a hike up Bull Run Mountain. I'm sitting on a rock that's covered in chalky hawk shit. |

That was 15 minutes of artful waxing to stop me looking like a Lego woman thank yew!
Getting used to it. Just wish it wasn't so bright. It doesn't come across in photos, but is immediately apparent IRL. Glatt, even chalky hawk shit becomes you. Lovely shot. |

Well, these aren't RFN but maybe an hour ago. Let's just say bugs love me and love to bite me, and often I have a nasty reaction.
I can't find pics from a few years ago when my face swelled up to moon-like proportions after some fire ant bites on my foot. That one required a trip to the ER for a shot, though luckily no breathing issues. I don't think today's are fire ant bites. The little suckers that snuck up on me were smaller than fire ants, but within about 30 minutes their little bites had swollen up like this. These pics are from the peak and now (after time and ice) it's still bumpy but getting back to normal... My wife has banned me from the yard for the rest of the day (year?) |

Just ice? You mentioned getting a shot, so I'm assuming this is known to be an allergic reaction.. have you ever tried an over-the-counter dose of benedryl or other antihistamine?

That's true, I did take Benedryl right after the bites happened, but then when they went crazy I put on the ice. Not sure how much it helped, though I do feel sleepy right now
I always try to avoid bug bites (though don't we all, really) and watch for this type of thing when it does happen. Luckily just the one ER visit. |

Gtown that is grim.
So sorry for you. Mum & I get those sort of reactions and worse (never that many at once though!) All I can suggest is what Clod already has and you have already taken. Oh and hydrocortisone cream, which I'm sure you're already using as you're itching like buggery. Good luck! |
