I'm here from 1500 today to 0900 tomorrow. Then I grab a trailer and head for Browns Summit, NC via I74 and I77. I will be there by 2100 on the tenth.

Who tows you when you have to be towed? What if yer broke down in the middle of Montana?

She blew out an obscure oil line on the back of the engine, resulting in my oil (five gallons of it anyway) being pumped onto the interstate. The engine is programmed to shut down to save itself if the oil level gets that low. I killed the ignition before that happened and coasted it to a shoulder.

As for towing and repair, the company has a national network of "approved" facilities which do the work. It doesn't matter where I am, the breakdown dept will find someone to either fix it on the road or tow it to a place where it can be fixed. Tires and simple things can be done right where I stop it but oil lines must go to a dealer.

All I do is shoot a message to the right dept on my Qualcomm unit, tell em where I am and what's wrong and they handle it. Eventually. It may take some time what with thousands of trucks out there and only a small handful of staff working to keep them running but it will get done. I have faith.
