Vikings
Tigers
Tartans (yes, the fabric pattern) I think the actual running-around-during-games guy was a Scottie dog, though.

I had a Leprechaun in 1st thru 8th, Wolf from 9th thru 12th grade, Artie the Artichoke my college Freshman and sophomore, and finally Sparky the Sun Devil college junior and senior year.

The Artichoke mascot was because the students were forced to choose a mascot and did it to spite the administration of Scottsdale Community College.

I have a plush Artie the Artichoke magnet on my fridge that is pretty neat.

Gawddamn straight I was a KNIGHT! (In HS)

In "college" (UT and I use the term lightly for where I attend) I am a "Raider" but our mascot is a wolf - ? I thought Raiders would be Vikings. Maybe we're the "Rapists". Juniper, can you verify?

(Heh, I don't know anything about your school, including which one it is! I was just going for something quirky/funny when I wrote that.)

We never had mascots, I have a recollection that our primary school was in some way connected to a ship. We had some kind of connection with HMS Dido. So Dido, was kind of like a mascot/symbolic embodiment of the school.

I think that was fairly common until recent decades. We never quite lost our naval identity over here. Even up in the hinterlands of the industrial North West.

My high school mascot was the Minuteman. You know, the guy back during the revolution with his 3 cornered hat and his musket ready to kick the Brits back over the pond. Our football team was the Patriots.

My school was turned into a middle school some years ago and then it was slated to be torn down for a new campus so some of us went back for a tour; we all graduated in 1974. Low and behold, on the gym wall was the Minuteman without any rifle!!! When we asked about it we were told by the principal that the school district had adopted a zero policy on weapons on school grounds so the our beloved Patriot had to turn in his musket.

This world is gettng fucking crazier by the minute!

A cardinal twice--that's what I get for going to Catholic school for kindergarten and college.

Also a bobcat, "jet," bulldog, and lobo (wolf!) for one year.
