I looked at this site the last time it was spammed here. It wasn't funny then, either.

I think we're just out of the demographic, El, you know, like the same way that Barney is fascinating to 3 year olds but makes everyone else homicidal?

60 album covers with the lettering removed. How many can you identify ? I could only name a couple.

5: REM, Automatic for the People (1992)
6: Cranberries, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? (1993) 8: Smashing Pumpkins, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (1995) 11: Blur, Blur (1999) 15: Janet Jackson, Rhythm Nation 1814 (1989) 23: Pink Floyd, The Wall (1979) 25: Fleetwood Mac, -- obviously, and a 1975 photo but not 1975's "Fleetwood Mac"... can't place this one otherwise, is it a re-release? 26: Stevie Wonder, Songs In the Key of Life (1976) 27: ELO, Out of the Blue (1977) 52: Beatles, The Beatles (White Album) (1968) 58: The Roots, Things Fall Apart (1999) Extremely difficult challenge and Syc shows his enormous mind for music. The lad knows his stuff, he is like an encyclopaedia. |

Uh ... I feel so ... inadequate.
I got The Wall, Songs in the Key of Life, and The White Album, also recognized Fleetwood Mac, but have not a clue which album, thought the space-shippy thing might be ELO and was pretty sure it wasn't Boston ... I've probably heard cuts off ALL of those albums, but have no clue what the cover art looked like. I'd heard you're supposed to be able to identify stuff from your high school years best, but I spent much of that time buying albums by Maynard Ferguson and Chuck Mangione. What can I say. I was a marching band geek. (yeah, this one time, at band camp ...)

Since UT revealed his, I'll reveal the ones I got that aren't in his list:
7--Californication, Red Hot Chili Peppers 9--The Fat of the Land, Prodigy 10--Beautiful Freak, Eels 14--Ill Communication, Beastie Boys 17--The Colour and the Shape, Foo Fighters 31--Hatful of Hollow, The Smiths (I originally thought this was the self-titled album, but after looking at their album covers, it is indeed Hatful of Hollow) 36--Pet Sounds, The Beach Boys 37--Nimrod, Green Day 40--Stripped, Christina Aguilera 54--Ozzmosis, Ozzy Osbourne 56--Vs., Pearl Jam And graciás El Sapo...what can I say? I dig music. Last edited by elSicomoro; 10-12-2003 at 09:31 PM. |

Damn...he's good. I told him to look at those covers b/c I figured he'd know 'em best.
1--Bounce, Bon Jovi UT and I got 4, 6, 10, 11 and 26. 12--Morning View, Incubus I just found 25--The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac 27--After the Gold Rush, Neil Young 32 is definitely ELO. 37 is definitely Green Day. 50 doesn't look quite like the Basement Jaxx cover. I don't think 53 is Metallica. There looks to be some sort of amp setup in the background. Shit, he whipped my ass. |

CB Slang!
Don't really know what prompted me to go looking for this, but reading it brings back fond memories of cross-country trips riding next to my father, listening to him banter back and forth with other CB users. It was neat. |
