ny yankees vs toronto blue jays mitre - rzepczynski i was asked about what i think about rzepczynski. i would say that he's clearly the blue jays 3rd best starter at this time, behind overpaid halladay and decent romero. cecil should be in pitching in single a, richmond in double a. rzepczynski should be a triple a starter at this time. it kind of says a lot about how weak this blue jays rotation is. lets take a small little peak into the jays line-up. since holding first place in the major leagues, the toronto blue jays line-up is batting below the mendoza line. unacceptable for a major league team. the jays are a disgrace. no future in sight either. bet on the new york yankees *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* boston red sox vs detroit tigers penny - jackson edwin jackson is becoming very hard to hit against. he's consistently good. good enough to hold a 2.62 era and 1.12 whip. penny has never come back to that old self, who was completely dominating..... its been 2 years now. the red sox are outclassed in their division, 6.5 games back of the yankees, and only 1.5 up on the rays who will inevitably surpass them. although i have bet on the detroit tigers winning their division at 4.00. i must say that the minnesota twins seem more capable of winning this division. their line-up span is alright to lead off, cabrera is a very good for the number 2 slot, mauer is out of this world, batting .365, morneau with his 28 home runs and 91 rbi's already, the tigers may win the division against this superior line-up, as the twins rotation is very weak...... we'll see. bet on the detroit tigers *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* la angels vs tampa bay rays o'sullivan - garza only the yankees line-up has scored more runs than these two teams. garza and o'sullivan are not their teams greatest starters. it seems to me like this game will very likely have a high score to it. bet on the over [9.5] *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

seattle mariners vs chicago white sox hernandez - buehrle i have not given felix hernandez enough credit. the 23 year old, playing for a mediocre mariners team, is 12-4 with a 2.84 era this season. buehrle, after pitching a no hitter, has allowed 28 hits and 17 runs in his last 3 starts. the price is very attractive given who's pitching. bet on the seattle mariners *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

felix hernandez obviously did his part, shutting out the white sox, recording 10 k's.
its 0-0 in the bottom of the 13th with the mariners at bat, but i can't wait around till it ends to post the result. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* boston red sox vs detroit tigers buchholz - verlander there's something really interesting going on with justin verlander. i've been watching him very closely since he began in the majors. after proving to be the elite to come, he then struggled a little. his struggling was due to learning new things. well...he's learned some very important things, and i believe that he's half a step away froim being one of the most dominating pitchers in baseball. one stat to take note of this season, is his 186 strike-outs in 159.1 innings. bet on the detroit tigers *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

so seattle ended up winning 1-0 in the bottom of the 14th the other night.
verlander shut down this mediocre red sox line-up as the tigers won 2-0. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* tampa bay rays vs toronto blue jays shields - halladay when halladay pitches for the jays, the price of the jays win is microscopic. the price of the jays loss is enormous. fact : anyone who has bet against halladay over his past 9 starts has won 7 times. fact : i've given all 7 here on the cellar. i have nothing against halladay, its not a personal thing. those who have read the thread over this baseball season, have been fed in depth information about how weak this blue-jays team is. now, if you have been reading this thread since the begining of last season, you've been fed in depth information on how good this rays team is. lets give some fantasty value to this tip. i participate in 12 leagues. i'm competiting for 1st place in 9 of them. in 5 of them, there is no competition. in the 12th one i drafted, it is mathematically impossible to lose at this time. obviously amongst the highest ranked teams on yahoo. now, if i owned both halladay and shields, i would not start halladay against the rays, but i would start shields against the jays, especially in tampa, where the rays are 20-5 over their past 25 home games. fact : the rays are the fastest team of all time bet on the tampa bay rays *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

halladay managed his 3rd win in his past 10 games.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* ny mets vs san fransisco giants cain - santana cain advanced faster than i thought he would. he's pitching at a very high level. i never thought i would be considering the giants, a candidate for the play-offs, but they are. lincecum and cain easily make the best 1-2 in the major leagues. on the other hand, johan santana is simply too consistent every season around this time. he can be as dominating as a pitcher can be. having followed his career very closely, i can only expect him to get more shut-outs [he's had 3 since mid-july] for this particular match-up, despite the giants being in a pennant race, and the mets looking towards next year, due to the injuries of reyes and beltran, i'll still have to go with johan santana with what i've seen of late. bet on the ny mets *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

texas rangers vs minnesota twins hunter - liriano hunter looks pretty good out there, but i'm not so sure he'll last that long facing this very good line-up. liriano is not trustworthy at this time, but the price is too high to not consider this a wise bet. bet on the minnesota twins *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

toronto blue jays vs tampa bay rays halladay - niemann the jays are 3-7 over halladays last 10 starts. he pitches against an amazing rays line-up. suprise suprise, niemann can pitch. the jays line-up is probably the weakest in the major leagues. bet on the tampa bay rays *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* la angels vs detroit tigers weaver - verlander i've got nothing against verlander, he is by far, detroit's greatest starter. there is no comparisson between these line-ups. the angels are truly elite now with everyone healthy. weaver has won 8 of his last 9. i did not expect such a high price on the angels win. bet on the la angels *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

seattle mariners vs kansas city royals fister - davies in fister's limited starts in the majors, he's looked quite impressive. my bet is that he continues to look good against this royals line-up. bet on the seattle mariners *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

i see donovan in the middle, vick to the left, and westbrook to the right. the ultimate wild cat formation.. will they snap to donovan, vick or brian. snap it to westbrook, and he'll take off. snap it to donovan, he can go downfield, or pass to either side. snap it to vick... will he throw or will he run. how do you defend a formation like that? it will be exciting to watch. are the eagles now competitive because of it.... possibly

What is the difference if they snap it to Donovan - His passes are (just like last night) High left, low right over the receivers head .... No accuracy. The couple plays a game that make the difference between winning and losing have not been made by him - repeatedly. This offense demands accuracy, it was specifically designed for it.
Vick looked more accurate, after 2 years in jail than McNabb. That speaks volumes. Yes the wildcat formation could be REALLY interesting if the plays were being called by an innovative coach, something else the Eagles are lacking.

detroit tigers vs tampa bay rays robertson - price price is the reason why the rayscould afford to trade kazmir to the angels. also, he was costing them a pretty penny... something the angels can afford. is robertson still in the majors? bet on the tampa bay rays *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
