Not that I've ever heard of or believed. I wish my gentile friends Merry Christmas, even though I'm not a Christian.

In my opinion, you are wishing someone happiness in the celebration of their holiday. If I knew someone who enjoyed swimming in lime jello every August 4th, and I ran into them on August 3rd, I'd wish them a Happy Lime Jello Swimming Day because that's what makes them happy.

If someone wishes me a Merry Christmas, I prefer to focus on the fact that they are wishing me happiness rather than the fact that they assumed I was a Christian. They would, after all, have a %76 chance of being correct.
