Your Favorite Finger
Put your hands on your desk. Because we're Anglo, we'll go left to right.
left pinky is #1, right pinky is # 10. Which one is your favorite? ....If it helps, the following exercise may make selecting it easier: Imagine that you are held by a madman. He has 9 of your closest loved ones in his merciless grip. He gives you 9 choices.......between your loved one's life and one of your fingers. meaning.....he will either kill your loved one, or chop off one of your fingers....your choice of finger. he does this 9 times. Assuming that you would sacrifice a finger for those you love...and assuming you have 10 fingers to start with.....which finger would you be left with at the end of this ordeal?

i shoot the madman with my concealed gun.
Never bring a knife to a gun fight, sucker! and, thus, i keep all my fingers. My precious, precious fingers. I need them for homework.

7 or 8.
If I was left with one, I'd probably choose 8. It's stronger. |

I knew a guy in high school who had lost his index finger, so he would point with his middle finger. He told me once that he would do it in a way to give the finger to people he didn't like.

Well, if I'm really only going to be left with one, obviously I'd choose 7 for strength and agility on the few remaining tasks I might be able to do with it. I think most would.
But if I'm just picking favorites and I still get to keep the others, I'd say #1, my left pinky. It's twisted and crooked, and it amuses me. |
