Hrm...maybe not to you. However, I've always been a believer in the way words are presented as well as the tone is which they are spoken.

As far as the example goes, I would venture to guess that the "trash" aspect of the pants was in the eye of the beholder. If I looked in the mirror, and didn't see that the pants were "trashy", and he thought that they were, then we'd have a problem, because I wouldn't change the pants (especially if at the time, those were the only pants that I had to wear that were clean...hey sometimes laundry just ain't done in time for some things...).

And lastly, Goddamn, I can't stand a jealous man!!!
