What is seriously fucking depressing you today?
If I only knew, but I do know and there is nothing I can do right now but wait.

Foot, when things were at their worst for me (and no-one would deny that things were BAD) I took out the Roman coin a friend had given me.
I had a pretty blessed life when I received it, and no reason to think that would change. But he told me if things ever went wrong, I could hold it and remember This Too Will Pass. In truth he was trying to get into my knickers. He read PPE at Cambridge (translates as pretty damned intelligent) so I valued it. In the end it didn't help. But it was a token to a better way of thinking. I guess what I'm saying is you will come through this, but no-one telling you that, can help you believe it. I'm just telling you anyway so you know you're loved. Even by strangers.

Sundae nails it again.
When I am dying to get blitzed - which nearly always means a trip to the ER these days -where I soak in humiliation and self-loathing, I try to remember that I won't feel like this forever. This, too, WILL pass. It will. It will. I mantra "I want to feel better, I want to feel better, I want to feel better..." up to 100,000,000 X's until I DO feel better. Even a teaspoonful better. A teaspoonful isn't much, but if it's just that much better - I'm heading in the right direction. Hugs, brother. I think you're marvelous.
