I couldn't find a better thread, so...The Rules of Gunfighting. The redaction was an attrribution, but, I found these statements attributed to just about everybody who has ever written on the subject, when I searched, so, I blakt 'em.

Ive Had to stand at Parade rest and snap to attention and salute for like 4 hrs at a Time , i can tell you it fucking wears on you !

The Marines that stand at the Gate at Coronado ( cali) do 8 hr shifts

They were just introducing the SAW when i was getting out of the USMC,
it was the last fully auto firearm i got to shoot ( in the Marines) ,
200 round assault pac loaded with nothing but tracers ,
selector set to 1000 rounds a Minet ,
RRRRRRRRUUUUUPPP !!!!!!!
it was like a Fricken Lazer !!!
