We have reviewed RegistryBooster through previous versions and it has never failed to do what it claims to do and has never harmed the PC. For that reason, RegistryBooster 2012 gets an honorable Brontobyte on a scale of Bytes to Brontobytes and is a recommended registry repair and optimization utility.

That program was downloaded by techniques also used by malware to infect a computer.

Second, the 480 errors are mostly irrelevant. Mostly exist because of point three.

Microsoft does not do that. The uninstaller is created by the program manufacturer. He will often leave behind undeleted fragments. Either intentionally or due to no reason to be hygienic. Since you will never know, then why should he pick up the trash?

So, third, many if not all 480 errors are traceable to programs that do not clean up after themselves when removed.

I should have been more clear, "one Microsoft program left behind over 1000 registry items"
Don't ask me which one, it was a long time ago.
