Trivia
Dan O'Bannon was the primary author of the movie Alien. He also had Crohn's disease. The chest bursting scene was inspired by how Crohn's pain felt to him.

So, did you see, or plan to see Prometheus, and this struck up a resurgence of interest in Alien, Aliens, Xenomorphs, and things such as Giger's Necronomicon? Because that's what happened to me.
Did you know the Xenomporphs don't actually have acid for blood? Rather it is contained, pressurized, between two layers of external armor, such that anything that pierces the outermost layer is blasted by pressurized acid, whereas the actual internal anatomy has not been compromised? Have you gone back and watched Alien and Aliens? Two very different films. Alien is a sci-fi which is fundamentally a horror film.

I have not seen Prometheus, but it's on the list.
I think you know way too much about the aliens. But yes. I own the series and go back to watch the movies from time to time.

It's good. SonofV and I went to see it (in 3D, not a plus or a minus, that technology is getting quite good, but the tickets were very expensive $15.50 each!). It's a pretty movie and it does answer some questions about the origins of the opening of Alien. I give it a thumbs up.
