4/6/2004: Chair mounted to wall
![]() Welcome to the Bordeaux Book Fair, and a little display called ""X-Times People Chair" by German artist Angie Hiesl. In other words, the woman is sitting there intentionally. Not sure how long she sat there, or if she's still sitting there today, or how this promotes books in any way. Actually Ms. Hiesl's installation is not only for this fair but is a traveling work, and this woman WAS at one point reading... |

I'd want a seat belt.
Does anyone else have this response to heights? I love the feeling but it is scary too because I always have this fleeting image of me spreading my arms and launching myself into space. No, I've never done it. |

She has more faith than I would have.
I'd trust my life to a carpenter or an engineer before I'd trust my life to an artist. |

Well, I'm sure someone blamed the dancers.
Anyhoo, regarding IOD, I like the way her gaze is repeated in the window carving. |

The coolest thing about the Maplethorpe trial...Barrie was acquited of obsentity charges by a Cincinatti(!) jury that found artistic merit in the sexual images. Oh and no one was crushed to death, just caught an eyeful of penis skin that the models were proud of.
