In the mushroom dept, I stick strictly to the morels (dry land fish).

Eat these fellas sliced, fried in butter:

That is a false morel, and some people can eat them with impunity, if prepared correctly. Some people get deathly ill, even if it is prepared correctly.

Toxins remain, correctly prepared, or not.
