The Steelers are a bunch of slack-jaws, always have been, always will be. Ben is the newest King of the Slack-jaws. [/trash talk]

[quote=W.HI.P;700050]Defense is key, and yeah, you'd have to be fearing the Steelers more than you'd fear the Patriots at this point in time.

True, but even though I'm not sold on the Patriots, the Steelers are dreading playing up in New England in the playoffs after the pounding they took from the Patriots at Pittsburgh a month ago.

And I take back what I said about the Jaguars, they are definately capable of rolling through the playoffs on the road and make it to the Super Bowl, they are not the favorite but are capable yes.

Even though I think the Jags will win I'll be pulling for Manning on Sunday haha! If the Patriots can win 2 out of the last 3 games then they will wrap up home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

2 games at New England will be tough for any team, especially if the Patriots get ontop early but as I said,I've seen too much football in my time to make any predictions this early.

If I had to pick 2 teams that don't have to be the best but are playing the best football right now I'd still have to say New England and Atlanta.

If the was objective was money, you really couldn't go with the 2 teams that are leading the afc and nfc a few weeks before the play-offs start.
If you wanted to make some money there, you would have had to have bet on the falcons before the start of the season.

My entries here are based on profit.
At the end of the year. the profits are made from the high paying bets won(25, 33, 50, 67, 110 times your money) not the small paying bets won....they are, in the end, a waste of time.

Vick is going to be key in what happens in this game.
The Giants pass rushers are gonna go after him like there's no tomorrow.
If they get to him early, he's gonna be forced to throw under pressure which will certainly result in a pick or two.
If Vick eludes the pass rush, he'll be looking at a career game in rushing yards.
The Giants are gonna score, so its just a matter of whether or not it'll be a blow out, or a close game.

In the Jaguars - Colts game, I project 120-170 net yards for Maurice Jones drew, which should eat up about a full quarter of the game.
In games where the Jaguars faced an under par run defense, Garrard has had a very very high passer rating, as the defense is almost always with 8 men in the box.
Peyton should do well in this game, which should make it interesting.
If half the red zone visits end in field goals, we'll be looking at an easy Jaguars win, otherwise, it'll be a thriller.

Wow who would of thought that Maurice Jones Drew would only end up with "46" rushing yards total? Jeeze.

2 games left and if the Patriots win one out of 2 games they will wrap up home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.

I'm sure they will win 1 out of 2 games but I'm not sold on them automatically winning both playoff games, but it sure will be tough to beat the Patriots at New England this January.

Man I'd go as far as saying now that if there are NO INJURIES the New England Patriots WILL represent the AFC in the Super Bowl,I don't think they will lose the divisonal or the AFC Championship game both played in New England.

Tom Brady will be the 2nd QB to play in 5 Super Bowls,John Elway being the other. Them winning the Super Bowl is a whole different story but I'm saying they will be there no question.

I can see NE sustaining some injuries if they meet the Ravens followed by the Steelers despite the special enforcement of rules. Right now as a football fan (and a Steelers fan), I'd like to see a Green Bay/Pittsburgh SB.

Considering the utter failure on the part of the Chiefs yesterday, I don't think they're going to be so much as a speed bump to the Ravens on their way to a possible Pats matchup.

Yeah the Chiefs kinda blew it,even though it was a meaningless game they still didn't want a beating from the Raiders. Earlier in the season I didn't think the Patriots were as strong as they are right now,as I said if there are absolutely no injuries whatsoever during the playoffs I can't see the Ravens or the Steelers beating them in New England, but stranger things have happened thats for sure.

How about the Seattle Seahawks 7-9 winning the weak NFC west division? HA! They really should change the playoff format,I think the Bucs and Giants deserve a playoff spot at 10-6 rather than a 7-9 team winning a division but thats the rules and the Hawks are hosting the defending Super bowl Champion Saints and are going to get thier feathers ruffled! HA!

I know. I said "if you want to make sure a team loses just ask me to root for them."

But damn the Seahawks deserved that win. They played great football. I only made it to halftime of the Colts but yeah, they lost too. Apparently I missed the last seconds show.

Philly got beat tonight, and my brother informs me that we needed Baltimore for the win against the Chiefs because the Ravens have a much better chance of beating the Steelers.

I love the playoffs!
