Lamp repair RANT
Last night my lamp by recliner went nuts. So today I stopped at hardware for something and picked up a kit to repair my fucking lamp.
OK we looked a a few and most had been opened, no, give me a new one. So after a sack full of trips up and down the ladder working on house, I took a break to fix lamp. JC, can you read the damn fine print. I can't! So this boils down to the fact that when I've been drinking I just say, hell I'll do that later. BUT I got so flappin mad I went back to store and ask this asshole to read me the instructions. Oh, you just poke the wire in here and ?? Hey If you poke the damn wire in that hole just how in the fuck are you going to close the damn thing. Hey tw. I bet some MBA saved the company .2cents on a million items to screw that up. And no I've built lamps for years.

In my experience, if you see a bunch of packages on the shelf that have all been opened, the only conclusion you can come to is that the product is a piece of garbage and everyone who buys it ends up returning it. Shame on the store for carrying it.

That same basic principle applies to picking up women at bars.

BEFORE YOU PULL THE OLD CORD OUT -- READ THIS!!!
should be the first thing you see. You often need to use the old cord to pull the new one thru those often very tiny holes in the base.

Don't do anything until you've read ALL the instructions.

After all the BS, ranting and crap. Have reached the conclusion that the 3 way bulb was the problem.
I retrieved the old switch from garbage to test later.
