Well for starters there's only a fraction of the fabric involved. I'd say the ebay thing is more like pseudo bondage than lingerie.

Maybe you play peek a boo differently in Australia, but here in the US an integral part of the game is covering a part of your self before revealing it. I didn't see a whole lot of coverage opportunity going on.

I don't think it's just Australia. You can get peek-a-boo lingerie pretty much anywhere.

Admittedly that's an extreme example, but that's what it is. Some people are don't have much imagination I guess.

The top half doesnt bother me, its the string up the boonta that doesnt look so comfy.
