note: Grandma and Grandpa lived on a farm and did oodles of hard work. I think the lard got sweated out their pores cuz they both lived to a good old age. |

When I was in Germany in the 80's it wasn't uncommon to see people eating bread with lard spread on it. Shmaltz. I wonder if they still do that?
