Ugly Tie Contest
My office Christmas party tomorrow is having an "Ugly Tie" contest.
My entry is this vest I found on eBay for 5 dollars. It's made out of ties and vintage buttons. :-)

I'm particularly taken by the unflattering, and opposing, directions of the "vertical" stripes... very unappealing !

That's it, you're wearing just the vest, nothing more?

I regret the passing of Tie Rack
for non-Brits benefit, Tie Rack was a chain of small tie shops based in railway[railroad] underground, metro and bus stations, airports, and similar high footfall transit locations I often travelled a couple of hours to work only to find that I'd forgotten a tie, so went into Tie Rack and bought the absolute cheapest tie they had, preferably the least appropriate or most revolting they had in stock. depressingly, and I got some absolute shockers, nobody ever complained about my neckwear - British reserve I guess

Beest has a hideous Christmas tie from the UK. But it no longer plays the music
In fact all of his ties are from the UK. not sure if he's ever worn one here in 13 years. Goalie-boy is now required to wear them on days when there are away games, so he's building up his own collection (because Beest's silk ties and pre-game pasta meals do not mix), but he has to choose ties by width rather than style (a buck a piece in the thrift store) because sadly most are as least half as wide as he is. Kinda rambling here, but it is Friday night -no wait, it's Monday, just feels like Friday. We should have a Cellar tie. And coat of arms. But it would need to be all hi-tech so the motto could change to be whatever the current cellar tag line is.

coat of arms is a good idea but the tie thing is a bit of a loser I guess.
guys don't wear them and girls wear them just to be ironic. or sarcastic. or something.
