Next time you want to tell your or someone elses kid to go fly a kite at least show them this kite plans website.
Hundreds of plans for 1, 2, 3, & 4 line kites, some simple, some are-you-kidding-me.

we just got back from Long Beach, WA, home to the World Kite Museum, which we did not visit (
 ) --looks like a monkey, meant to be a sad smiley, parenthetically. don't judge.the plans at the link look delightful.

The joys of making your own toys. When I was a youngster, we made kites from newspaper and sticks. Some of the most fun came from trying to make new kite designs. Sadly, it is another thing most kids miss out on nowadays.
