The logo says the Cellar was "Est. 1990". AFAIK, the 'Net (as webpages) wasn't around at that point, so how did the Cellar start up?

Yes, and let's give up some props to UT for keeping the place up and running for all that time. I'd be interested to hear of other examples, but The Cellar is the only BBS I know of that didn't either die with the onset of The Internet in a big way (or sooner, when they had a disk crash, and there were no backup tapes) or get turned into a commercial venture (like The Well).
