I own it, many of the long timers have put donations into the tip jar to help pay for it.

It's the sort of moderation where you stick around for two months and then you ask whether it's moderated or not.

Just check the archive. Not only does she have several such cards, she also has a set of keys to the insane asylum. Literally.

When my ex- did her psych rotation as a student nurse (at the same institution where wolf works, by the way), the running joke was you could tell who was "sane" only because they were the ones who had keys.

If you could look up "inmates running the asylum" in the dictionary, you would see a picture of AG.

Well, I was just kidding.

Once when I went to join a gym, I only wanted to join for 6 months because I knew my lease at my apartment was up and I might be moving. The muscle bound, well toned guy behind the counter said something like, "6 Months? That's it? You think you're going to be in perfect shape in 6 months?" So, I said, "How long 'til you're done?"

I didn't like his question, he didn't like my response. He apparently thought he was Mr. Universe or something.

Years ago the place I was working cut a bulk-purchase deal with the local Bally's. They brought in a sales guy to sell memberships...and it was an incredibly lame hard-sell. after a few minutes I recognized where I'd seen the techniques before: at a car dealership.

These guys must be living on commissions.
