eastern conference atlantic this division is without doubt, the best in the east. i know that i projected the penguins to dominate from 2008 through to 2010, but i think a few other teams have caught up to them. chris pronger joins the flyers, putting them immediatly into contention. gaborik joins the rangers, upgrading their attack, putting them into contention. its hard to say which team will be at the bottom of the standings between the devils and islanders. northeast the boston bruins remain contenders, and should be on top of this division. the rest of the teams here are well behind boston, and yet not too far from each other. ottawa and montreal seem to be a tad superior to the building leafs and the fallen sabres. southeast washington may not win this division as easy as some expect. tampa bay picked up gold in hedman at the draft, and will dominate this division for years to come because of it. we'll see how fast that will take effect... i would not be suprised if they started showing halfway through this season. atlanta, florida and carolina seem to be a little further back, and should be below the playoff line. western conference central i will be suprised if detroit manages to be in the top 3 of this division at the end of the season. chicago, st.louis and columbus are very good teams, and should all make the play-offs. nashville is out of luck. northwest this division has become quite weak. calgary holds some good players, but you can't really consider them as some of their lines remain under par. minnesota is a well run team and should be ahead of some of the teams here. edmonton and colorado are well under par and will be below .500. vancouver is the perfect example of how not to run a team. easily the worst franchise in hockey. a bunch of overaged, overpaid men playing in front of a mediocre goalie. pacific the san jose sharks are in a class of their own here, and should have no competition at winning this division. the anaheim ducks, despite holding some serious youngsters, are probably drafting. la, phoinex and dallas are all still below par, and should not be considered contenders to represent the west.

carolina panthers[-3.5] vs washington redskins these teams are leagues apart, the spread should be the other way around and bigger. this is going to be my base this week. bet on the washington redskins *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* san fransisco 49ers[-2.5] vs atlanta falcons i think the 49ers and the falcons will both win their division, so this match-up might be a preview of a play-off game. the falcons attack is superior, and should win this game. bet on the atlanta falcons *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* miami dolphins vs new york jets[-1.5] the dolphins can win this division for a second year in a row. the jets are good, but i'd have to give sanchez at least another year before they can be a serious contender. its silly that the dolphins aren't like -4.5 point favorites. bet on the miami dolphins *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

ok, so we're coming off our best week of the season.
our base went through, with an overall 4 out of 5 = great profit. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* minnesota vikings[-3.0] vs baltimore ravens the minnesota vikings are really not as good as some percieve. the vikings attack faces its biggest challenge yet. on the other side of the ball, the ravens should be able to score against minnesota. the ravens should win this game. bet on the baltimore ravens *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* new orlean saints[-3.0] vs new york giants no suprise in the saints success this season... their attack is of the absolute elite, and their defence has picked up a bit from its under par season last year. but don't even begin to compare the saints to the giants, they are leagues apart. eli manning is truly out of this world. the giants running game is unbelievable, while the defence remains well above par. the new york giants are truly the elite in the nfl. its kinda funny that the saints are favorite here. the only way one could consider the saints favorites here is if the giants decide to throw the game to rest. bet on the new york giants *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* tampa bay bucs vs carolina panthers[-3.5] i was watching the nfl network, and i couldn't believe that they named the bucs the absolute worst team in the nfl. what tf have they been watching. the bucs are actually a pretty good team, and under no circumstance can they compare with the lesser teams in the nfl. this is a pretty good match-up here, but you'd have to like the bucs to win here at home against a seriously under par panthers team. bet on the tampa bay bucs *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* washington redskins[-6.5] vs kansas city chiefs the chiefs should've beat the under par cowboys last week. the redskins are a much better team than the cowboys and should have no problem beating the chiefs, who's future see's them at the pit of this game for several years. bet on the washington redskins *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* new england patriots[-9.5] vs tennessee titans a part of me wants the titans to lose this game, but they face a weak patriots team that should not be able to stop their attack. tennessee should be able to win their first game of the season against this well under par patriots team. 9.5 points is crazy here. bet on the tennessee titans *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* san diego chargers[-3.5] vs denver broncos this is actually a very lop-sided game. the broncos, apart from beating a good bengals team 12-7 in week 1, have not faced a good team this season [browns,raiders,cowboys, patriots]. the chargers are by far, a superior team, who will run all over this broncos team. how perceptions change as the weeks go by. this is easily the base of this week. bet on the san diego chargers *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
